Valuable Marie at “Verdener Spätlese”

The top notch auction “Spätlese” in Verden was once again a complete success this year! The bleachers in the exhibition hall “Niedersachsenhalle” were completely filled on February 15th, 2019 and the eleven heifers of the breeds Charolais, Limousin, Angus, Galloway and Welsh Black sold for an astounding average price of 3,900 Euros.

Auctioneer Torsten Kirstein was extremely happy with the outcome of the event. He stated that the well-rounded selection of sales animals was excellent and did not fail to impress buyers from Germany and abroad. Buyers from all over Germany as well as some clients from Latvia were present at the auction.

Top-Seller

All animals at the auction were sold for top prices. One heifer in particular stood out! TKM Marie, sired by Diabolo and bred by the Kirstein GbR from Martfeld is the current state champion and impressed everyone with her excellent pedigree. On both the maternal and paternal side this heifer descends from long lines of successful show animals licensed with excellent grades. To top it off she is pregnant! As the top seller of the evening she brought in 5,600 Euros. She was sold to a well-established Galloway breeder from Hessen.

Angus

AVW Nicky, sired by LA-Glen is a chic Angus heifer of excellent breed type bred by Kagelmann from Velpke. She was purchased for 4,000 Euros by a new breeding farm in the area of Verden, where she will help establish the breeding program. REA Rebina bred by Riekenberg from Burgwedel also sold for 4,000 Euros. She had already convinced her new owner with her extremely interesting pedigree at previous events.

Limousin

Nikita is a dreamlike red-colored heifer from the Limousin breeding farm “Meinen“ in Apen. She is sired by CN-Rex and sure is easy on the eyes! This heifer will not disappoint her new owner in the coming show season, who was willing to spend 4,700 Euros on Nikita with her excellent pedigree and phenotype.

Homozygous polled Clara, sired by Steinadler, a Limousin heifer from the beef cattle operation Hinck in Oldendorf was sold to a well-established breeder from Latvia for 4,600 Euros!

Charolais

Charolais heifer Jelka, the current state champion, sold for an astounding 4,800 Euros. She descends from the breeding farm Beu in Osterholz-Scharmbeck and is not only coming by herself – she is carrying a bull calf.

Aurora, an only 12 month old heifer sired by Japson, rounded the evening off in style. This beautiful heifer is extremely interesting genetically and descends from a high-performing maternal line. To top it off, she is homozygous polled. She sold for 4,000 Euros at the auction.
